Abstract
Colorectal polyps in children are one of the most common causes of painless and recurrent intestinal bleeding in this age group. But juvenile polyp in the transverse colon is rare. A child with colo-colic intussusceptions caused by juvenile polyp is very rare because the descending colon lies fixed in the retroperitoneal position. Most of the cases were older than 6 years and particulary the case in a child younger than 3 years is rare. In this case study, we report a rare case of 3-year-old boy with juvenile polyp in transverse colon manifested by intussusception.
